3,168 matches finished in the leagues we follow over the last 30 days, and every number on this page comes from their final scores. Home sides won in almost half of all matches (45%), 24% ended in a draw, in close to six matches in ten there were three goals or more (56%) and both teams found the net in 57%.

The 73 prediction types are grouped below the way they are usually searched, from the full-time result to goals, half-time and the correct score. Each group starts with a short note on what the figures say, and every line opens a page listing the upcoming matches where that result has been most common for both teams.

Under each prediction type: the upcoming match where the home side's home record and the away side's away record for that prediction type are highest (last 10 matches each).

Full Time

Home sides won in almost half of all matches (45%), away sides took 31% and 24% of matches ended level. That gap of 14 points is the home advantage in plain numbers, and it is the reason the same away record reads differently from a home record on the match pages.

Total Goals Over/Under

Over 1.5 goals came up in about four matches in five (79%), so a game with one goal or none was the exception rather than the rule. The line that splits matches most evenly is 2.5: 56% went over and 44% stayed under. Further up, over 3.5 goals happened in about one match in three (34%).

Half time

A level score was the most common picture at the break (38%). Home sides led at half-time in nearly four matches in ten (37%) and away sides in about one match in four (26%), which shows how many matches that end with a winner are still open after 45 minutes.

Double Chance

12 is the widest of the three, 76%, because only a draw misses it. 1X reached 69% and X2 55%, a gap of 14 points that mirrors the home and away split in the full-time group.

Total Goals

The 2-3 goal band was the most common total (44%). Low-scoring games with 0 or 1 goal came up in just over one match in five (21%), while six goals or more stayed at the far end of the scale with 8%.

BTTS

Both teams scored in close to six matches in ten (57%). In the remaining 43% at least one side finished without a goal, and the home and away records on each prediction page usually show which team tends to be the one that blanks.

Half Time / Full Time

The most common half-time/full-time pair was 1/1 (28%). Real comebacks are rare: 2/1 and 1/2 together came up in only 6% of matches, while games that were level at the break and then won by one side (X/1 and X/2) added up to 24%.

Odd / Even

Odd and even totals were close to a coin toss: 50% odd against 50% even. A goalless draw counts as even, so leagues with many 0-0 results lean slightly that way.

Half-Time Over/Under

At least one goal before half-time came up in about three matches in four (74%). Two or more first-half goals were much less common at 37%; put the other way round, the first half ended with one goal or none in about six matches in ten (63%).

Correct Score

The most common final score was 1-1 (11%), ahead of 2-1 (9%) and 1-0 (8%). A goalless 0-0 came up in about one match in 17 (6%), and 3% of matches finished with a score outside the 28 listed ones. Even the top score happens only about once in 9 matches, which is why each correct score page looks at the teams and leagues where that score keeps repeating.

Quick answers

Which prediction type comes up most often?

Over 0.5 Goals came up most often, in 94% of finished matches. Lines that need only one goal naturally sit at the top; among the three full-time results, Home Win (1) led with 45%.

What is the most common correct score?

1-1 was the most common final score (11%), followed by 2-1 (9%). A goalless draw finished in about one match in 17 (6%).

How often do both teams score?

Both teams scored in 57% of matches, compared with 56% for three goals or more. The two often go together, but a 2-0 or 3-0 counts as over 2.5 without both teams scoring.

How often does a match end in a draw?

Draws came up in 24% of matches. The most frequent draws were 1-1 (11%) and 0-0 (6%), and 38% of matches were also level at half-time.

How the figures are calculated

Every figure comes from the final score of a finished match. Pre-match prices and model forecasts are not used.

Frequency is the number of matches in which the result happened, divided by all matches counted in the last 30 days in the active leagues we cover. Matches that finish today are added the next day.

Half-time prediction types only count matches with a recorded half-time score, so their totals can be slightly lower.

Some prediction types overlap (double chance, the different goal lines), so a group does not always add up to 100%.
